Image quality! Most old-style injection molded and thermo-formed plastic cups are imprinted with silkscreen or rotary offset AFTER they are formed. Cups by BaslerCo are printed FLAT and THEN formed. Lithographic 4-Color Process printing on a flat sheet allows us to deliver hi-resolution, photo-quality images. The result is a cup with stunning graphics that rival a company's annual report. Finally, a cup worthy of a corporate image! HOW ARE THEY MADE? FLAT plastic sheets are printed on our Heidelberg® and KBA UV lithographic printing presses at over 300lpi (second order stochastic screening) for a print quality that far surpasses old style cup imprinting methods. FLAT printed plastic sheets are die-cut to the characteristic "fan-shape" sidewall form needed to manufacture the cup. Using our custom engineered cup machinery, the FLAT printed and die-cut sheet is wrapped into the basic cup shape, the bottom is placed and sealed, and the top lip formed - all this at speeds over 140 cups per minute. Visually Stunning Plastic Cups - Clear/Frosted These hi-definition, 4-color process clear pastic cups add a unique touch to your promotions with vibrant translucent colors and dynamic effects created by mixing opaque and transparent areas. These colorful cups are printed flat on clear food-grade polypropylene to create the desired colors. Our manufacturing process requires us to print a single pass of white behind the art in the bottom 1/2 inch of a Frosted/Clear cup. Color printed at the top of the cup extends into the rim to create a colored rim. A single pass of white ink can be printed to create white text or to brighten a colored logo or enhance the art. The base of the cup is also required to be white.
